When people think of the chiropractor, they tend to think of spinal and joint treatments. While those are something that we provide resolutions for, that is not the end of our relief for your body. We also are deeply committed to providing you with care and knowledge about how to best serve your body. For example, we’ve gathered a small list of tips to help you get or stay healthy during the summer.

Simple, Healthy Habits

The most important thing for you this summer will be creating and keeping a sleeping routine. Studies have shown that people who sleep at the same time each night and get a full night of sleep have healthier lifestyles overall and make better choices regarding their health. You should also take the adage of “five minutes a day” for exercise and bump it up to 30 minutes. Five minutes is great if you are physically unable to do more, but realistically, most people are able to do at least 30 minutes if they are serious about their health. This is the summer of health for a lot of people, and your healthy summer needs to begin with you at home, so why not give yoga or another at-home exercise a try?

Healthy Eating Habits

Other habits include healthy eating habits. In a world that is filled to the brim with a lot of processed foods and sugars, any simple, healthy habit with eating would immediately recommend cutting out those foods. However, science has shown that cold-turkey cutouts aren’t effective. Instead, for your healthy summer, begin to make small, manageable, and sustainable changes to your diet. This can be changing from whole milk to 1% milk in the beginning. Making these small changes while still allowing your needs to be met is a large part of the sustainability of your new (or continued) lifestyle.
